She clicked her tongue, "Soft. Soft in the head, too. Go home. You've no place here." She reached up, tweaking the end of her horn and running her thumb over the curve.

Georgia began pulling him home, leaving a trail of blood. She shoved him through the trap door, grabbing a bottle and pouring the contents over the wound, watching it bubble and wincing as Lou yelped. "Sorry.."

She shook her head and started to move through the wrecked city, always staying hidden.

Georgia gathered food and clothes up, packing the bones and metal scraps up and took them back to the rubbish heap, placing them on top and hurrying back home.

She crawled into an upside down bus that was half buried by fallen bricks and chunks of tarmac, picking her way across the glass-strewn "floor" to get to the drivers cabin.

Lou woke up confused and covered in blood. "Wh-what?" Georgia blushed and helped him clean the blood off, bandaging his shoulder and helping him into a tattered grey shirt. "She used you as a shield.." Lou groaned, falling back onto the straw filled mattress. "Damn.. First hot mutie I've ever seen and she tries to kill me."

She sat on a pile of rags and reached into a box lined with polystyrene that sat beside her. She pulled out a small leg, wondering what creature it had come from, and started to gnaw on it.

Lou fell asleep, clutching a dagger tightly as Georgia locked the door and curled up with a tattered blanket.

She watched the city intently, making sure her base was safe.

Lou wokeup with a start, his eyes darting around the dark room. Georgia was asleep in the corner, snoring lightly.

She sighed and tried to get some sleep.

Lou smiled and placed a pillow under her head after carrying her to the mattress. He curled up beside her, holding her close, remembering when they'd first met and how he'd promised her big sister he would look after her. "You're doing a better job of looking after me.." he muttered, stroking her hair gently.

She padded down the length of the bus, having to drop to her hands and knees when she reached the end that was crushed by debris. Squeezing through a particularly small gap, she hauled herself into a "room" walled in by debris and bus, and curled up on the filthy dog bed in the centre of the room.

Georgia whimpered in her sleep and Lou shushed her, stroking her cheek. "Shhh... It's okay.."

She managed to fall asleep, hands curled around her horns.

Lou fell back asleep curled around Georgia protectively.

She woke up suddenly- noises. Crawling back into the main area of the bus, she peeped through the window and saw something dragging itself past.

Lou yawned sleepily, rolling over when Georgia elbowed him. 'Mhmmph.."

Rolling her eyes, she reached under a sheet of metal and pulled out a length of iron piping with a jagged shard of glass taped to the end before wriggling out of a broken window and creeping around to the other side of the bus.

Lou groaned as Georgia poked him awake. "No. Go back to sleep and stop poking me." He whined, burying his face in his arms. Georgia sighed, digging around and pulling out some form of dried meat and a flask of water. "Get up. Eat something." She shoved the food and water at him. Lou grumbled and grabbed them, taking a bite of the meat and grimacing.

She crouched low, watching as the mutant moved slowly towards her. Its skin was livid red and it left a glistening trail behind it as it moved. Curling her lip in disgust, she launched forwards and landed on its back, sinking into it slightly.

Lou sipped at the water, then stood up and grabbed a beaten up leather jacket. "I'm going to look for supplies. Stay here, I don't need you tripping over things and shooting me again." Georgia pouted, tossing him his dagger. Lou grinned as he unbolted the trap door and climbed out.

She drove the glass into the back of its head over and over again, hissing as acidic blood came bubbling up and burned her legs. The mutant gave a shrill scream before falling still, and she climbed off of it.

Lou paused, hearing what he thought was a scream. He ran to where he assumed it came from, skidding when he stepped into a slimy trail. "Gross.." he slowly walked forwards, seeing a figure standing in the gloom.

She heard a voice and quickly clambered onto the mound of debris covering the end of the bus, crouching behind a rusted husk of a car to see who it was.
