She turned and walked away, holding her pipe tight.

Lou scowled, walking up beside her. "Please?"

She bared her fangs, hissing, "I've ripped people limb from limb for less than your grievances. You follow me again, I'll cut your heart out and give it to a rust-beast."

Lou smiled slightly. "Yeah, and I've killed more people in cold blood than I can count. We're a good match for each other. Just think about it.." He patted her cheek Nd walked off, toying with a knife.

She started the walk back to her bus-den, jaw clenched.

Lou silently followed her, deciding to leave food for her outside of wherever she lived.

She took a detour, heading for a building that she'd heard humans call the club of night (whatever the hell that meant).

Lou grinned, seeing where she was headed

The revolving door had long since been torn out, so she slipped in through the gaping hole in the wall, moving around sound-boxes and snaking wires.

Lou grinned to himself, watching her from the shadows.

She reached a thick door and pushed hard, putting all her weight behind it. It swung open with a loud creak. She froze and dropped behind a sound-box.

Lou crept up behind her, staying half hidden behind a box.

She closed her eyes, letting her forehead rest against the back of the sound-box as she listened intently.

Lou frowned, wondering what she was doing.

She decided that the sound of the door hadn't drawn any muties and stood up again, creeping through the doorway and down a flight of slippery, algae-covered steps.

Lou stood back up, still following her.

As she descended, the air got hotter and more humid, and beads of sweat began to form on her forehead.
The stairs led down to a basement. Vines hung from the ceiling and moss crept up the walls. The heavy silence was punctuated by the drip-drip of condensation dropping from the ceiling into the swimming pool that took up most of the floor space. The pool had once been clear and fresh but was now a stinking mess of tiny creatures and slimy plants.

Lou scowled, tucking his hair behind his ear. "Fucking mutie bitch.." he muttered as something scuttled past in the darkness.

She paused, head tilted. She thought she'd heard something over the sound of the dripping.

Lou froze, ducking down and hoping she wouldn't see him.

She tightened her grip on the pipe and jumped the last few steps, nearly fluffing the landing as her foot skidded on the slick floor.

Lou scurried down the stairs, keeping his back pressed against the wall.

She walked around the pool to the right hand side, squatting by the edge. She pulled a jam jar from her pocket and dunked it into the water.

Lou grimaced, hoping she wasn't going to drink the water.

She tapped the jar and reached it, swiftly hooking out several somethings and dropping them into a second jar.
