Lou woke up when someone poked him and shoved food at him. "Eat.." Lou devoured the food and curled back up, asking where 'She' was.

The blonde girl frowned, confused and patted the mans head. "Shh.. Go to sleep."

(She slept on.)

Lou nodded, hugging a pillow and sleeping. The blonde girl fell asleep on the floor next to him.

Lou woke up with a pounding headache. "Fuck.. Where am I?" the blonde girl beamed at him. "My house. You were laying in the street so I took you home! I'm Blondie, and you are..?" Lou rubbed his head, grimacing "Lou.." he paused glancing around the room "Did you se a girl? She's a mutie, really pretty, black hair, grey skin, yellow eyes, orange horns..?"
Blondie shook her head. "Nope, just you, sorry.. Is she your girlfriend?" Lou smiled slightly, shaking his head. "Naw, I wish.."

(Sleepy sleepy timez)

Blondie giggled, leaning against the couch. "Why isn't she?" Lou sighed sadly, brushing his hair from his face. "She hates me. And has tried to kill me more than once, but I have been an asshole to her so.. I guess I deserved it.."

Heavy footsteps came from the corridor, followed by the slam of a door and angry muttering.
She didn't stir.

Blondie patted his back. "Don't worry.. She'll forgive you!" Lou smiled at her slightly. "I hope so.."

A man strode into her room, tall and broad with close-cropped dark blonde hair and a thick neck. Half of his face was covered by a battered bronze mask, covering hideous burns. He was wearing sturdy boots, trousers made of some kind of hide and scratched armour made from a dumpster. When he saw the sleeping mutant he sighed and ran a hand over his craggy face.

Blondie bounded off the couch and into the tiny 'kitchen' grabbing a handful of nuts she offered some to Lou who shook his head and went to look out of a window.

The man clapped his hands twice and she scrambled into a sitting position, blinking sleepily before her eyes alighted on the man, "Marlick. You're not who I wanted to wake up to, or who I wanted to find here. Where's Horusk?"
"Jeez, I forgot what a piece of work you were."
"Lovely to see you too, but I came for the leader, not the deputy."

Blondie giggled, chewing the nuts thoughtfully.
Lou frowned as clouds formed across the sky. "Looks like rain.."

"I came for the leader too. He's not here." Marlick said heavily.
"Well, that needs to change. I'll find him and shove my fist down his meal tunnel soon as look at him." She curled her lip in contempt.
"Whoa, cool it, girl... Are you even a girl?"
She raised her pipe warningly and he moved on, "I don't know where Horusk is, but there are a lot of people who need him."

Blondie pouted "Aww... Normal rain or..?" she trail off, distracted by something on the floor. Lou shrugged "Dunno. Can't tell."

"Yes, and mutants too. He owes me one." She stared Marlick straight in the eye, chin lifted defiantly.
"Hm. Well, guess he can owe me instead. What needs doing?" Marlick said finally, shifting uncomfortably under her gaze.
"What needs doing is protection. For me. I've got one of your fleshy brethren on my back." There was some hesitation as she spoke- she didn't like to ask for help, especially from a meathead like Marlick.

Blondie sighed, "I'm bored.." Lou rolled his eyes, sitting on the couch and closing his eyes. "Then do something." Blondie scowled "Like what?"

"Uh-huh... Male or female?" Marlick asked.
"What do you really think?" She snapped and he lifted his hands defensively, grinning.
"Keep your horns on, moof. Just a simple question." He became serious, "Anyway. I'll watch your back until you don't feel twitchy. Got it?"
"Got it."

Blondie curled up by his feet, reading an old book as Lou dozed off.

They shook hands and Marlick's face softened into a smile, "Go back to sleep. You look like mutie dung."
She rolled her eyes but lay down and pulled the blanket close, soon drifting off again.

Blondie grumbled as it began raining. Within seconds, everything outside was soaked. Lou turned over in his sleep.

Marlick sat on a bedframe in the corner of the room, watching the rain.

Blondie curled up beside Lou sleepily reading her book, listening to the thunder. Lou wrapped an arm around her, still asleep and stroked her cheek, making her giggle.
