Lou sighed, picking at the dried blood on his jeans. "Fuck!" Blondie swore as she dug around, trying to find water. "No water. Go get some." She tossed a couple of makeshift water catchers at him. Lou sighed and went outside.

Marlick pulled his hammer into his lap, running his hand over a chip.

Lou glanced at the rain, then at the water catchers. "She said find water.." He set them down and went for a walk.
Blondie curled back up with her book.

Marlick sighed, leaning back.

Lou wandered off, shoulders hunched against the rain.

Blondie sighed, wishing Lou would get back so she could snuggle up and get warm.

Marlick was torn between guarding the building and going to look for food.

Lou scowled at the infected scratches on his hand from the furbeast. "Damn.." he swore as he probed the swollen red skin around the oozing gashes.

Blondie shivered from the cold, a threadbare blanket around her shoulders.

Marlick fidgeted, hands curled around the hammer.

Lou cursed under his breath, dipping his hand in a cleanish puddle and scrubbing at it.

Blondie shivered.

Marlick sighed. If someone came past, he'd kill it and solve both of his problems.

Lou grumbled and bandaged his hand up, hoping he wouldn't get a worse fever or have his skin rot and fall off. He started waking again, silently staring at the ground.

Marlick leaned back, checking out the rooftops of the other buildings.

Lou was lost in thought, trying to ignore the burning pain from the infection in his hand.

Marlick groaned and stood up, stretching out.

Lou froze, he could have sworn he heard a voice. He crept around an old truck and gripped his knife, wincing as the skin spilt open on his hand.

Marlick hefted his hammer and walked across the roof, rain dripping from his armour.

Lou peered around the edge of the truck, seeing no one he relaxed and tripped over an old crowbar, crashing to the ground. He scurried under the truck, breathing heavily and hoping no one had heard him.

Marlick heard a noise and strode over to the lip of the roof, peering down at the street below.

Lou closed his eyes, hugging his hand to his chest and biting back a cry of pain as he caught it on a rusted chunk of metal.

Marlick narrowed his eyes, suspicious.

Lou winced and shuddered pulling a shard of metal from his hand, crying out softly.

Marlick called, "Show yourself!"

Lou bit his lip, trying to stay quiet. He winced, whimpering as blood and pus oozed from his hand, staining the makeshift bandage.

Marlick waited, certain there was something there.

Lou groaned, crawling out from under the truck, trying to remember which direction Blondie's little house was. He swayed, sweat dripping from his skin. "No.. Wai-" he passed out, hitting the cracked pavement with a thump.
